Towing with 2018 Honda Odyssey EX-L

Hi All.
Tried to search but didn’t find the answer. I’m planning to pull Uhaul 5x8 trailer. Installed trailer hitch and harness. I used to have 2016 Ody and when I reserched the towing required transmission cooler installation for 2016 Ody. Does the latest version(2018)require transmission cooler for 9 speed transmission?
Max weight I expect to be 1500lbs.

When towing anything, Honda will always say the transmission cooler is required. For a short trip without many hills or accelerations, you should be okay without it.

As noted, if this is a one time deal and you are on relatively level ground, you will be fine without the tranny cooler. If this is a regular thing, then an aftermarket tranny cooler should be installed.

Towing capacity is 3000 for the 9 speed and 3500 for the 10 speed. No additional transmission cooler is needed. Just install a hitch and you ate good to go.

Thank you all for your responses. Could you please confirm the max allowed trailer weight for 2018 EX-L 9-speed Odyssey?
One place shows 3500 lbs and anotherplace says 2000 lbs...

Towing

Weight limit of 3000 LBS. Take heed of the weight limiters of inside the ODY in your considerations as they subtract from the 3000 LBS.
