NDNV,

You seem to obtain this information quite a bit. Its a good thing. Do you think it would be better to catalog it under one thread containing several posts (each post for a model year or something of the sort)?

We'd be hard pressed to have the mods sticky all the good stuff you post but if we break down your information into a few threads, the mods might bite and make it sticky. Just a thought I had and was wondering what your opinion would be.

Thanks for continuing to post the TSB links and Honda News.

:)

Yeah, I'm open to suggestions concerning the format etc. I intend to create a new thread for each model year. One thread for all might get confusing over time. As new TSBs are created, I can edit my first post at the top of the thread and add to the list. The main benefit of doing it this way is that I can search here on a topic and pick my user name to narrow down the search to this thread and pick out the applicable TSB.

When I get the time, I'll be working my way back in model years. (i.e. next up 2007, 2006, 2005, etc.)

Much appreciated NDNV. My temp display is wonky, nice heads up.

Any Shop Talks or TSB's for squeaky driver seat ALL THE TIME SO IT DRIVES YOU CRAZY???

Thanks for the last one, my driver door rattles like a demon. I taped that trim piece on the outside and it stopped. I think I will just take it off and do it myself.
The dealer needs my van for a whole day just to do a 0.3 repair?

#11 ·
My 08 right front door has the rattle, too. Drove me NUTS on my last drive to Arizona.

I hate taking my cars to the dealership; always seems like they repair something and screw something else up... dirty floor mats, sprayed chemicals on the wheels, Lexus dealer curbed a wheel, etc.

Thanks for the post; I'll try the suggested repair!

Now if I can just address the squeaking right sliding door...

Defective Power Steering Reservoir

Thanks for this list! My van started the whining noise today while it was 35 degrees outside. Now I know what is going on (afraid it was the transmission).

Have there been any TSBs about braking or brake pedal feel? My 08 brake pedal travels way further than my 05 ever did. Very disconcerting.

Dealer said they have received many comments about it but it is working as planned. Any ideas?

re brake pedal travel...
Have your dealer bleed the brakes. It took me 3 attempts to convince them but it made a noticeable difference on an 07.
Thanks, I will try that. They balked when I asked them to do that, will try again.

Found this link at the Edmunds Odyssey site. It is a 2007 TSB that has been expanded to include all 2008 Odyssey's. It appears that air is entering the brake system through the ABS/TCS or VSA modulator-control unit.

Brake Pedal Is Low and Feels Soft
(Supersedes 07-045, dated October 25, 2007, to revise the information marked by the black bars)

WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION sections.
• Under WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION, the
operation number and flat rate time for manually
bleeding the brakes were added.
SYMPTOM
When you apply the brakes, the brake pedal travels
lower and feels softer than normal.

Just came back from the dealer and the brakes work amazingly well now. In fact the pedal is touchy since I was used to pushing the thing about 6-8 inches it seemed.
I am very happy to have this remedied.
If you have an 07 or 08, go get this done! You will be very happy!!
