...the ps pump whines badly. please help! how do i get the air out of the system? also tried flushing by taking the return line off.

Air is still getting into the PS system.
Some Honda/Acura V6 PS units require replacement of the PS inlet (low pressure side) hose O-ring at the PS pump. The O-ring is usually less than $1 at the dealer and takes about 5 minutes to replace by removing one bolt. Air is removed from the PS by turning the steering wheel lock-to-lock a few times slowly, or just driving a route with some turns for a bit.

I second WSY's suggestion. The replacement o-ring part number is 91345-RDA-A01. You'll need a stubby 10mm offset wrench to get at the pump inlet bolt. I suggest a snap-on XSM910 or an S&K tools SKT87759.
