I have been trying to find out if the 2012 exl or touring odyssey have changed the mounting/shaking issues due to the eco on previous year models. I am about to buy a 2008 touring but would rather buy a 2012 if they have changed it.

 

I have a 2012 Touring and have about 4500 miles on it. We have towed a trailer weighing about 2000lb for 500 mi. I think the vehicle drives and shifts flawlessly. I feel no vibration as the van goes in and out of ECO mode. I am an X-tech and extremely picky.

 

I have not experienced any issues witht eh eco shift in or out.

 

We've got about 400 miles on our 2012 EX....no issues. One thing I've noticed is that ECO mode kicks in and out quite often. No vibrations noticed.

2012 Polished Metal Metallic.....$32,000 with tax, title and DMV fees included out the door + $1,255 for 96 months/120k mile Honda Care warranty. Looking forward to many trouble free miles.

 

All members above with vibration, ECO comments, let's try to keep this TSB thread specific to TSB comments. There are tons of posts related to that in the different forum sections

I recommend trying from home. One link is on Honda's site and the other on my webserver. Neither are "known" virus or porno etc links. Not sure what you mean when you say fix the links. They work just fine. Too bad your work Admin won't let you access them but what needs fixing is your work's admin and not the links.

Also, what the TSB is for is already described right above the links. Thanks to EE4Life on compiling these and keeping the lists of TSBs for ALL model years up-to-date.

Yes. That is the whole reason there are two links. There is a work around for the Honda link that EE4Life has posted several times before. Look for his posts in the prior generation forums to make the Honda link work. Some people keep having issues with the Honda link and hence we have been hosting the PDFs on my webserver.

 

After finally getting the PDF file, I found that TSB11-056 is just that, PDI information. For those who are new to this, like me, PDI stands for "Pre-Delivery Inspection," a check list for the dealer to prepare the car before giving it to you. It is an interesting read, but not the kind of TSB that tells you your car has a known issue that needs to be fixed.

 

Your posted TSB is for 2008 vehicles. Tell me if I'm reading it incorrectly, please!

I am taking delivery of a '12 Touring later this week. Should I insist that the dealer shows me proof that all applicable TSB have been applied to the vehicle? (TSB 08-017 and 11-070 are applicable to my VIN) How do dealers normally handle TSB's that affect their on-lot inventory?

 

TSB is not a forced recall. I think they won't do anything unless customers complain. You could mention this to see what they say. If necessary, ask the service manager to go with you on a test drive before you sign the paper. The van either has these problems or not.

 

Hey just a thought to the original poster.. Maybe on the TSBs put in an added date? Or date of TSB issue date before the description?

Just thought that it might help, for chronological purposes, to know what was added when or when the TSB was issued.

 

Thanks for posting these TSBs...I have found that my service advisors typically don't know of their existance, and many issues (such as the Juddering) are spot on to what I am experiencing.

Print it out and show it to your service adviser to save time. I think I've had them all done.

The www.urvi.net links no longer work, as dvpatel previously advised in an announcement. For the new links, just replace that portion with either urvi.net or www.urvi.net and they will work again. Look at other TSB sticky threads for my procedure on how to access the honda techinfo links as a secondary "live" source.

 

All, this may not be news to most but just in case there are some that are not aware.

TSB 13-081 has gained some more traction recently and the website from Honda on this issue is now live.

Unfortunately, we will not know the final answer until early next year and apparently there is no fix until it happens and hence the extended powertrain warranty with no mileage limits. Personally, I rather Honda fix the problem because more than likely, you will have those that expire the extended warranty time frame and then face the problem.

 

What's this for? TSB 13-031 - MIL Comes On With DTC P3400 and/or P3497

 

You are probably long gone, but: MIL - Malfunction Indicator Lamp, aka CEL - Check Engine Lamp. the DTC P**** is the code that the OOBDI reader would give you when you check the On Board Dignostic Information with a reader.

 

For my 2012 TE. Wondering if there is any TSB to an issue I am currently having. On high speeds or when going downhill, when I apply the brakes I get heavy vibrations on the steering wheel. Most likely the issue is with the rotors or the brakes. Just curious if there is a TSB so that I can have them perform the complete TSB for safety concerns.

 

There is no TSB for this braking issue that many owners have experienced.

So what does this list of TBS mean? Does everything on this list get repaired free of charge. I have the check fuel cap light and my driver side front suspension knocks, but the dealer says it's not covered under warranty.

 

Here's a Question. I have a 2012 Odyssey Touring and I am having the transmission shudder that TSBs 16-046 and 16-052 address. However, I contacted Honda USA and they said that my VIN doesn't apply to these TSBs. I understand that some transmissions weren't affected due to certain components being manufactured by different companies, but how can my van be experiencing this exact issue to a T and it is not part of the TSB? I think Honda knows this is a huge issue with these transmissions and are trying to save as much money as possible by blaming a certain parts supplier as opposed to their failed design. Any thoughts?
