Hi I am wondering what people's success rates are with vcm muzzler 2 installing it with the blue resistance 82 ohms how it comes shipped to you. I have read the instructions just wondering real world trials. Thanks in advance. Cylinder #1 misfire. Had new plugs at Honda less than a month. Got raped by Honda on that job. Cylinder # 1 again this week. Oil fouled. Haven't looked at all plugs yet, got late. Will probably replace particularly #1 oil fouled and install muzzler. Loved our odyssey until this spring. Still have 4 years to pay it off. Bought this odyssey to be less of a lemon than my wife's previous dodge caravan she bought before we were dating in 2016. I despise going to the dealership. I personally have always drove paid for beaters with relatively good success. First time being disappointed with Honda in my life. Wish me luck

I installed an S-VCM so can't help with that part of your question.

I can say that I had a very similar experience with my 2013 (not covered by class action). Dealership replaced all plugs sure to cylinder 2 fouling, a few thousand miles later, fouled again in cylinder 2. This time, replaced cylinder 2 plug (all others were fine) and installed the muzzler. Over a year and 15k miles later, including 2 road trips totaling about over 2000 miles, and all is still good.

Point is that I don't believe you'll have this problem again once you install the muzzler.

dump a bottle of chevron techron in a full tank of gas and muzzle it, your misfires should go away.

blue resistor in winter, brown in summer, 30 seconds to change it over.
do it on a cold motor after it has sat overnight.

On hot summer days stop and go, the vcm light will flicker on and off with the VCMuzzlerII.

also, driving these motors like youre on a constant sunday drive is the worst thing for them.

dont be afraid from time to time to touch the pedal to the carpet when getting up to speed on the highway.

that old saying of blowing the carbon out, holds true for these vcm engines.

I had a VCMuzzler II for about two years in our Ody living in Calgary. I only ever used the blue resistor and got the "ECO" light maybe a handful of times in the summer. I'd estimate about 99% suppression of VCM, which is way more than enough to prevent the oil fouling problems. You've made a good choice.
