I test drove both vehicles and had the following impressions:
Odyssey had a much better ride especially on twisting roads where it had much less lean than Sienna.
I didn't notice any leaning with the Odyssey but the Sienna leaned noticeably.
The Sienna looked old in comparison to the Odyssey.
The Sienna had a Rear AC evaporator that I believe will cool the vehicle better than
the Odyssey which Honda took out the rear unit in the 2018 model.
Sienna's seating seemed to be more flexible in some ways but I still liked the Odyssey's actual seats better for comfort.
Odyssey seems to have a raised hump in the floor just under my left foot which is very annoying to me. They also did away with
a manual parking brake. I have never had a vehicle that didn't have an emergency brake pedal and wonder about the safety of that.
While I have never had to use it, I would think that would be a good feature to keep. I do not have any information on how the electronic
control works or if it doesn't work at all if you attempt to use it at speed.
The exterior of the Honda looked more sporty and updated.
Sienna offered more features I wanted for less money than the Odyssey.
I decided to hold off on purchasing a 2019 as Honda seemed not un-motivated to make a deal and
I got the feeling they still had a lot of bugs to work out of the new generation.
Any feed back would be appreciated on any of the above.
