Both of these currently on scanner. Have done delete/drive several times.

2 questions:
1. Any good ideas here?
2. I am in NY. Is it possible to pass inspection with engine light on if enough drive cycles have completed. I assume not just wanted to be sure.

Thank you,
David

I don't know of emissions inspection in any state that will allow you to pass with a CEL on. The CEL has to be off and the monitors must be passed (though generally you are allowed to pass if you have one that is not ready).

I have the same two codes, came in just after 36k miles of course… unhooked battery for half hour and cleared for a month or so but has come back. Hopefully Honda will come out with same service bulletin that is out for the crv for same issue. Anyone know of a way to submit this request to Honda?

I created a ticket with Honda customer service stating I'm seeing the same issue on a 2019 Odyssey and asking if the service bulletin should be expanded beyond CRVs. Admittedly I'm not sure of the root cause of what is causing the codes on my vehicle...it may be as simple as a component or vacuum line failure.

Have you resolved your code issue? If so, what did you find was the needed fix?

Hi Folks - just joined this forum in search of help for a 2019 Odyssey with the P0441. Found this thread and have a few questions:

1) First and foremost, anyone get this issue resolved? @Zf9hp bad. Any update after your last post? I technical service bulletin above suggesting a wireharness noise (on CRVs) causing this code is interesting.

2) Does anyone know where to get a repair manual for this vintage Odyssey? I always used to buy a Haynes manual, but it appears the will not be making one. Anyone try online manuals (I was going to post a link to one I found but apparently links aren't allowed in noob posts)?

3) What content is on the premium section of this forum which is only accessible with the paid membership?

I brought the van back and they said it was the purge valve now, they wanted 300 to do it. I declined. I'm waiting on the part.
Thanks for the reply. It seems swapping out the purge valve is a common recommendation with this code. A carquest version that fits the Odyssey is available at the local auto parts store for ~$45. Once you get yours and swap it, please post back if it resolves the evap system error.

The vent valve on the canister appears to be another problem area with this code.

I'm also a little suspicious on the capless fuel tank. With past vehicles I've had an evap error show up and it was just a poorly sealed fuel tank cap. Not sure how this would be addressed with the capless design.

Your probably fine. They changed evap canister first, purge valve then they did a software update. It's been back and forth to dealer multiple times mainly because the light would turn off before it got in. Finally the injectors were replaced and the light hasn't came back on. But yours being a 2020 it's probably something minor.

Has anyone had any luck resolving this problem? I still question the fuel door, as this code has always been fuel cap on previous vehicles. We are getting it at 71k on a 2021 Odyssey. I don't see how injectors could be causing this issue. I can replace parts myself and would use OEM, but fear will be replacing them all if it really is injectors, as the dealership will likely want to replace them on their own to rule them out.

I ended up taking it to my Honda dealership and they wouldn't cover it but said they would give me a discount...so I just had them do the work - "Remove & Replace Purge Control Solenoid". 2020 Elite. It was a little over $200, but the originally quoted me like $400. I got a quote from a neighborhood shop for $199...so I just had Honda do it. That was in October 2024 and all is good so far.

Reviving an older thread, because I have very similar issues. I've replaced the purge solenoid and vent solenoid. I have P0441, P04F1, and P04DF. It's strange that I have high and low purge flow detected. Makes me suspect FTP sensor going bad or maybe the same radio interference issue with the CR-V (TSB 21-081 linked above).
Zf9hpbad - did you get an explanation of why the injectors could cause these problems? That makes no sense to me... though I'm not a Honda tech.
