Went in last day after negotiating the deal over the phone. Only wanted Red or white colors which are extra. Dealer had $1500 worth of accessories installed including all weather floor mats which is included in OTD price. Hope this helps others looking for a similar model.

Sounds good. I’ve been shooting for 4500-4k under sticker on a Touring here in NY. It’s been a few years since buying a new car. I’ve had a big problem getting any real responses from dealers with pricing via email or over the phone, previously I could get somewhere.
Pricing generally hasn’t been getting to the 4k under. One was at msrp, another at 3 k under but with lots of conditions. I’m thinking I’m doing this wrong. I used to be good at this! I thought year end they’d be motivated but it’s like pulling teeth
We’re having the same problem, but in NJ for an EX-L. Lowest we’ve gotten is 44.9K OTD and it’s been such a hassle…

I found that on average the dealer cost is around 4 grand below the MSRP price, so try to get it around that price OTD if you want a good deal.
Krusha1, are you saying that we should be trying to get the price at $4K under MSRP for OTD? MSRP (including destination fee) for an EXL is $44,465 so are you saying that I should be looking to it for $40,465 OTD? If so, I'm not getting quotes anywhere that low. The best price I've received to date is $39,890 on a black EXL and that is before adding options and TTL. My ultimate goal is to get the price to $38,800 before options and TTL. Just want to confirm how much more work I need to do.

I’m not sure if they just have a lot of activity in person and I’m a difficult deal being that im
Holding firm on a low price.
I haven’t even talked trade yet to not cloud the issue. Or the roof rails/ rack I want.

at the best price dealership the sales guy got sick for this week and I things died down. I may hit him up today and move my number up a little to see if that will help move him down.

Yeah, with all the fees/taxes/etc for the OTD net price, the dealer cost is usually around 4 grand below that. Anything they can get above that price is profit for them. Usually they get incentives from their supplier to get rid of overstock, so that's when they sell around that price. That's also the price that their employees get.

Maybe before taxes. But in my state the taxes on the touring are line $4100. So that would mean I’d need an $8000 discount from msrp, which I don’t think is doable

Thank you all for this thread, I picked up my van 1/01/2025.

Very little negotiation, went to the dealers website and clicked their instant “unlock price” link, that lead me to provide my name, email, and phone number. Then I saw the magic numbers $47,103 and knew that’s a fair deal. The van is incredible and I have no* buyers remorse on my first ever brand new vehicle….(still incredibly expensive for my standards)

While every other dealer in Maryland felt like pulling teeth to get a price on the phone, getting a price and buying a car shouldn’t be that difficult….

Well… I wish I negotiated more haha. I went to the same place

Thanks for everyone’s information, it helped me pull the trigger tonight (1/2) and I feel like I got a good deal.

I did all of my negotiating through email, then phone and then walked into the nearest dealership and asked them to beat the lowest offer from a different dealership. Let me know if you’ve seen better deals on an EX-L as I’m curious how I did.

I tried hard to get a “better” deal and was not finding dealers willing to respond much on email with real quotes. Finally hashed it out with the dealer I test drove with. Nice salesman. Just couldn’t get any more. We were far apart on my trade and kept that out of the deal.
Super clean deal with no special add ins/fees warranties etc.

Really like the van and the color
