The previous Anker braided cable charged perfectly but would freqeuntly lose connection Android Auto which was rather annoying, especially when I was being routed by GPS.

In any case, I took my chances with this one and it happened to be the perfect length to boot at 3.3 feet. Cable Matters hasn't done me wrong with any of their products so far so bye bye Anker!!!!

I've been using it for two (2) weeks straight now, including roadtrip from Norcal to Socal. Zero problems. Perfection mayn, yeeeeeeee!!!

In my Accord I had best results just using the cable that came with my phone. Fairly short but still a good enough length.

Reporting back here. I have problems with the cable that was recommended in the OP's post. It worked well only once. Now whenever I use Google Maps, the Honda screen flickers on and off and asks if I want to disable Android Auto (AA) on startup. I cleared the cache for AA, uninstalled and reinstalled, no luck. Next step is for me to just try the cable that came with my OnePlus phone.

I know this sounds really dumb, but I went through a couple of different USB A to USB C cables (Anker, Monoprice Atlas, Cheap brand 1, Cheap band 2, etc ) and ended up having issues with all of them. What has been solid for me for the past few months (knock on wood) has been a USB to USB C Adapter and then using just a normal USB C to C cable.

I have this little adapter from Amazon (2 pack for $8.99): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079LYHNSR and I forget what USB C cable I am using but it's been rock solid and it's way easier to find a USB C to C than it is a USB A to C.
