Auto Unlock doesn't always work

I have an '06 Touring and have set my keyfob to automatically unlock the doors when I put it into Park. Most of the time it works, but now and then (about 1 out of 30 times), it won't and then I have to unlock it manually.
Kind of a pain when you are expecting the door to be unlocked and you go to open the door...

Anyone else experience this problem? I'm going to the dealer next week to get a few items looked at (still under warranty), so any input before hand is appreciated.

Maybe they need to add few miliseconds to the pulse

I have an '06 Touring, too and run into this problem. My come and goes in batches. I haven't figured out what causes it to work or not.

I haven't mentioned this to the dealer yet as it is an annoyance rather than a safety or drivability problem.

Please tell me how it goes when your car gets serviced

I had a friend of mine who has the same '06 Touring as I do, though he did have NAV, and he had a problem where he closed the door (with one of his kids inside), the engine running and the door automatically locked! He had to call the cops who ended up busting one of the windows to get in...the dealer ended up replacing the entire control unit for the locks (some computer piece).

Went to the dealer yesterday, and of course the locks were working fine and the intermittent problem wasn't there. The result, they tested it, but nothing was found so nothing was done.

Interesting leaving a vehicle with a running engine and really young children inside?

Sorry for the taken out window in the aftermath though....the only really quick viable option in the end.

He got out of the car to pick up something in his friend's driveway, and unfortunately, his kid was buckled in a car seat so she couldn't reach any buttons to open a window or door lock. Because of that happening to him, I no longer close the door when I get out when I have the kids in the car.
