End of 2024 or 2025 is way too long. They need to release it in June. They’ve got to be hurting on sales from Toyota.
See post #98. Honda sales aren’t hurting when compared to Toyota. Though I do think the Toyota is a good product.

I wish Toyota refreshed the infotainment in Sienna which is outdated compared to their 14" displays that you can find in their trucks. I don't think Tacoma is large though it also received 14" screen. I mean this: if Toyota refreshed their Sienna, then Honda would have follow and it's win-win for us, the customers. Now I feel they (both Honda and Toyota) and playing waiting game. Honda's minivan is overdue while Toyota's minivan is due for midcycle refresh.

Also check Japanese and Chinese Honda websites. Just lookup Honda China or Honda Japan and follow those websites. For example here's Japanese Odyssey below. They have so called e:HEV ABSOLUTE model with different trims:

Here is GAC Honda (Chinese Honda) website related to Odyssey: 【官网】广汽本田全新奥德赛 进阶而来
Here is Dongfeng Honda (also Chinese Honda) website related to Honda Elysion: https://www.dongfeng-honda.com/car/elysion-hybrid/

I see Chinese Odyssey has 10" screen. I hope we'll get 12"+ screen in the new Odyssey. Idk if MY2025 will get a small refresh or if it will be completely new model. I only hope they will give us more.

The Odyssey will see minor enhancements in 2025; no new model is planned until the transition into EV in 3-4 years.
This is correct. I've talked to Honda engineers near me that confirm this same idea. Lifecycles have been disrupted by EV. Everyone expecting the normal redesign lifecycle will be disappointed. Honda can't make significant investments into EV and maintain the same status quo investments into old models. They are neck deep into EV right now in R&D.

Like you said, the Odyssey isn't slated for any major updates for 3-4 more years. Maybe some tech and fascia enhancements.

I think this is fine as long as they truly fix the infotainment (people with new 2024s are still having issues) update the hideous dash and get wireless CarPlay. HUD and a better looking grill/fascia wouldn’t hurt. But we are likely getting a 2025 no matter what they do.

my friend that works there only saw the exterior of the 25 model and said it’s got a couple new paints colors. He liked the gray/blueish tone. That was the only exterior difference he noticed. He didn’t get a good look at the infotainment. I won’t buy unless that gets an overhaul. Definitely need wireless car play.

Sounds like he's describing Sonic Gray Pearl, which came out in 2023 and is the colour of the Black Edition I own.

Also, I have no idea why anyone would expect a full redesign with these spy shots came out last year (Motor1). Companies don't cover up the fascia unless they are updating it, which clearly means this is a minor refresh. For that reason I don't expect the dash to be fully redesigned though that would be wonderful (give me knobs for climate control please).

That looks sharp. I want to say he told me it was a darker blue/gray color on the 25 along with another couple new color options. I forget now. I imagine we will know for sure within the next couple of months. They brought in the 25 model to show the employees at their Ohio factory recently. And that's all he told me was new colors.

Ugh was really hoping for a redesign. I need surround view cameras, and wireless CarPlay would be good. I guess we’ll see what is formally announced. If they add those options I’d upgrade regardless. If not will stick with the 2021.

I contacted a honda dealer and got this email

2025 odyssey is going to be redesign and hybrid is a possibility, we ordered two touring trims but no build date is received yet

Alabama Honda plant is also closed for tours - what does it tell you ?
redesign passport , rigdeline and odyssey coming
