Wow. Sort of sanding this down and repainting, I don't see any other way to fix this. But then, painting is not my day job.

This is really bad and sad. Seems Honda cannot get their paint woes squared away since the 2nd gen Odys. Amazing incompetence.

 

Tell me about it... I know they have extended the warranty for the clear coat on the 8th gen civics to seven years,I just got my 09 SI back a couple months ago
for the roof and fenders peeling...

 

Well after a bunch of back and forth between Honda and myself,Honda has agreed to paint the hood and fenders of the van. I'll only have to pay for the front bumper respray. Have a strange feeling this will be the last Honda I buy.

 

For paint? Have you had any mechanical issues? I have a 98 Accord with 248K miles on it with the usual paint fade but the mechanicals are stellar. I'm still on the original alternator! Have you waxed it regularly?

 

Can I ask what color and model your 09 was? I have an 09 taffeta white who's paint if peeling in sheets!

 

The teffeta white had issues. They fixed a lot of them under warranty but I don't think an 09 would be under warranty anymore. Just have to have it repainted.
