Regarding a 2016 Odyssey :
Has anyone found genuine factory service information? In the past I always made it a habit to purchase genuine Honda Factory Service manuals for all my Honda/Acura cars/motorcycles. Now it appears Honda has followed Subaru in restricting this information from affordable, publicly available printed & bound books. I recently tried buying a downloadable pdf manual advertised to be genuine factory info - what a joke! (& unfortunately the joke was on me…😡).

I sprang for the Odyssey CD version from Bishko:

A 2016 Odyssey is functionally identical to a 2012 Odyssey - even accounting for the mid-cycle refresh in 2014, they're probably 99.9% the same. You won't find anything in print specifically for a 2016 Odyssey; it's all subscription-based now.

You can get this direct from Bishko or sometimes they're on eBay. I got mine on eBay.

If by "real deal" you mean a multiple-volume, bound paper copy, you can get that from Bishko. They are the authorized publisher of Honda's service manuals. Try the link I posted earlier; it's listed in there.

If by "real deal" you mean something published by Honda themselves - that's even easier to answer. It doesn't exist.

The Bishko CD with the PDF is the way to go. Genuine Honda service manual, all 3943 pages of it.

The techinfo.honda.com is another way to go. Subscribe to the Service Information Service for 1 day and download/print to PDF all the sections your think you will need. That is what I did for our 19 and 21 Hondas. Yes, I might need to subscribe again for a day to get a specific wiring diagram in the future, but that is easy. They online system has really good cross reference features once you learn how to use.

Recently sold my 2012 Touring and have a Bishko manual (+ other misc parts/fluids) that haven't received any interest on craigslist. Hoping there's someone in the Los Angeles area that is willing to meet near Redondo Beach to take them off my hands for free. Will post something in the classifieds when I reach the min post count.

I have had the same frustration finding genuine service workshop manuals for newer models. Bishko is a solid option but I would say looking at Honda is Techinfo for one-day access and downloading what you need in PDFs. It is a bit of a hassle compared to having a physical copy but it gets the job done for most people. If you are doing frequent repairs keep an external drive handy to store the files.
