Ground wire(s) location(s) (cross reference guide?)

When one is trying to diagnose an electrical problem using Honda's circuit diagram, how do you find the location of a grounding wire with Honda's designation (example, G503)? Is there a cross reference guide?

Thanks.

You need the factory electrical troubleshooting manual. With that, it's easy.

Locate the ground in the appropriate circuit diagram. Its photo number is listed beside it. Look up that photo number in the location photos at the back of the book. The ground is identified in the photo with an arrow pointing to it.

It is located at the passengers kick panel, probably very close to the fuse/relay box there. Should be just a bolt holding a wire connected to a terminal adapter going into a metal part.
G503 is for: Gauge Assembly,Keyless receiver unit and Passenger's multiplex control unit. So. if the dash turn signal lights work, the ground is probably working. It is also the ground for the ABS dash indicator light and the SRS indicator light among other things.

What circuit are you trying to trace?

I have a pdf version of the Honda Service Manual and it doesn't seem to have actual pictures of that connection, just an drawn illustration of a bolt in that area.

Just looked at the Electrical Troubleshooting one and it show that bolt is just above the Keyless Receiver Unit behind the glove box.

@OD4, Sorry I didn't mean to leave you hanging. I didn't realize you were specifically looking for G503.

Just as Buffalo said, it's behind the glove box, far right side, just above the keyless receiver unit.

Thanks Buffalo & Dave for the info.

Just my luck, I was behind the glove box changing out the cabin air filter last week too.

I'm trying to track down the "e-gremlin" causing my radio/instrument gauge to go in/out randomly. Since I changed out all the fuses related to the radio and instrument gauge and there is no specific event(s) (ie. bump, speed, night/day, accel/decl, or kind of beer I'm drinking..just kidding on this one) that cause the problem, I would like to find the location of the ground (G503) that is common to those components. I hate electrical problems (used to it on BMWs & Mercedes, never expect it with a Honda).

The link to the forums' Electrical Troubleshooting manual doesn't allow me access to everything. I can open the fuse/relay link and menu. That's about it. All other links say access is not allowed.
