Which model year is it? I believe 2005-6 has lifetime seat belt warranty. 2007 and 2008 would be expired at this point since it is for 15 years, 2009-2010 would depend on mileage (150k).

So @daneurys needs to have it replaced by the dealer under the lifetime warranty. No other way to release the child without cutting the belt.

Hi, I had same problem in my 2020 Odyssey EX-L and ended up cutting the belt to get my daughter out.
Honda dealer was charging $400 to replace it. Was ok initially but they failed to change the seat belt because it is part of the seat and says entire seat needs to be replacement for $1800.
Spoke with Honda Canada but no luck they won’t help with it and says it is not covered under life time warranty.
Any help will be appreciated

First, ask the dealer, or look it up online, to see the lifetime warranty.

Second, you may have to buy a seat just to get the seat belt.

Yes, got the part but no luck with replacing it at dealership. They said will need to replace entire seat and Honda Canada does not cover is under warranty

The same thing happened to me, I had to cut the belt because it was choking my grandson, Honda is replacing it for free!

Which Honda dealer helped you to replace it for free ?
I was unlucky to get it covered by my Honda Dealer who said I will have to replace entire seat as the seat belt is part of it.
