How to remove the console?

Okay, I'm sloppy. In the few months since I've had my Odyssey, I've dropped bottle caps, pens, note paper and worst of all--a piece of chocolate between the driver's seat and the console. With my 2011 Odyssey, I just popped the console out to clean that area. How does one remove this console? I fear it's a major production. Please tell me otherwise. I surely can't be the only person to drop things into that narrow space.

There's a thread about removing the center console. You are right - it's not trivial.

IIRC, you lift the liner in the bottom to expose the bolts that attach it to the floor.
