how to replace fuel filter

Hi,
I had a go at trying to undo the fuel filter but can't get enough leverage to do the job. the wrench keeps slipping off etc.
I would really appreciate any helpful hints for getting the filter out without much fuss.

Did you replace it yet? I am about to do mine and it looks to be a real PITA. The bolts are rusted to hell!!
