I have two questions.

I replace a set the rear shocks.

It was pretty easy to replace but I was wondering if an alignment is needed after replacing rear shocks?

Also, should I be concerned if I did not replace the self locking nut on the bottom of the shocks? I just used some loctite on it.

1.) No alignment needed. You don't alter the rear suspension geometry in the least by replacing the shock absorbers.

2.) Did the shocks come with nuts? If not, I don't think anybody on the forum (myself included) would have a problem with re-using those nuts. Torque properly with red Loctite, and they will stay put.

Alignment is not needed (you didn't mess with any of the adjustments that control alignment)
You should be fine re-using the nut with the application of loctite
