So I have a key fob (for my '09 Ody) that I found collecting dust in the back of a drawer. When I tried the buttons nothing happened.
I then put in a new battery and the red LED blinks and stays on for a couple seconds while the car's exterior lights blink ... but then the car lights and red led turn off, and futher tapping of any of the fob buttons does nothing - no LED light up, no blinking of the exterior lights.
Taking out the battery, and then reinserting it leads to the same behavior as above.
It is a new battery, and every time I insert in there is some comms with the car (as evidenced by the exterior light blinking)... so I'm baffled unless I guess it's something with the board.
Thoughts? Do I just need to buy a new FOB, program it, and call it a day?
Thanks
