Left rear fog light

Has anybody come across a combination fog /rear taillight set up? I'm in a country that requires a fog light in the left rear of the vehicle. Most of the people just mount a light under the bumper on the left rear. It just kind of dangles under the rear end. I wanted to find one that is all in one.

You could rewire the left rear backup lamp to come on from a switch on the instrument panel.

The backup light isn't red!

I'd look into mounting a simple round, flush mounting, brake/clearance fixture in either the bumper or tailgate. I wouldn't enjoy making the necessary hole, but other than that it shouldn't be too difficult.

Just my 2¢ worth,

You guys rock!!
I hate the idea of cutting a hole in my bumper like I've seen here, but you both have given me a great idea. I'll buy the cheap under bumper one, take out the bulb and wires drill a hole through the housing of the LR tail light and mount the bulb through it, use the swith that comes with the outside unit on the dash and i woun't have to put a hole in the bumper. here in Beligum the rear for light only has to be used during low visibility.

Just may work Hmmmmm????

IF you've got regular fog lights you could power the rear fog light through the same relay.

Good luck,

I live in an area with significant fog and this topic reminds me that I would like a rear fog light on all my vehicles. One of them (a BMW) comes standard in Europe with a rear fog, but the manufacturer will not fit rear fogs in USA -- since American drivers drive around with fog lights blazing when not in fog. Grrr....

And I admit I've seen plenty of drivers of Volvos or Benzes driving around on clear days with rear fog light(s) on.

I suppose I could put something together like my04HBEX will have to, but I would also like that clean factory look.
