Low beam lights suddenly stopped working. High beams are fine. Bulb issue or something else?

I have been using Sylvania’s Silverstar Ultra headlight bulbs for the last several years. Brighter than OEM, but they only last 18-24 months.

Yesterday, both low beam bulbs went out at precisely the same time. The high beams work, as do the OEM fog lights and turn signals.

Before I order new bulbs, could this be something other than a bulb burnout issue? A fuse or connection that controls the low beams?

Sometimes a bulb burning out blows the fuse. So, one possibility is that one is burned out and so is the fuse. Fuse locations and functions are documented in the OM.

Sometimes when one low beam goes out it isn't noticed until both fail. Just like brakelights or taillights. Not noticed until both fail.
There are two relays for the headlight, one for the right and one for the left and not for high or low beam.
However, both low beams are grounded through the dimmer switch so if new bulbs don't correct the low bean problem, than the dimmer switch would be suspect.
Remember, unless you drive in the country or mainly rural roads with little traffic, low beams are on almost all the time, not high beams, so they will burn out sooner.
