I have the same rumbling issue. Mine has nothing to do with Automatic Noise Cancellation (ANC). This is a physical vibration coming from the drive train usually when accelerating after coasting or being at steady constant speed almost as if it is disengaging (seemingly, but not really)and rumbling to re-engage. I have heard from 2 different people having the same issue but Honda techs have told them it was normal or they couldn’t feel it. I’m taking mine to my dealer and having them check it out and I will ride with them and ensure they make every effort to troubleshoot it thoroughly to try to duplicate the problem. Will update you after I get it checked out...

 

Sounds to me like you're able to perceive VCM kicking deactivated cylinders back on. Far less common occurrence on 2018 Odys than on older models. Probably falls within what is considered normal, but that doesn't mean the same as harmless.

Definitely chase it with your dealer; it's what the warranty is for.

 

I've got a rumble from the left front (I'm always driving, so perceived from there, anyway) that sounds like a loose suspension bushing or somthing, but only on a very specific piece of road.. The surface of the asphalt is really rough, and I'm coasting downhill turning gradually to the left at maybe 25mph.. I haven't noticed it anywhere else! Hoping I can ask the dealer to get in there and look around and hopefully it's just something loose they can correct. On the other hand, it literally only ever happens in this one place, so I guess I can just avoid it!

 

Yes. 2018 touring. 4miles. Vibration at highway speeds. Something fishy here. Test drove 4 other 2018 2019 tourings, all had same vibration issue.

 

Thought I would post back. Problem solved. Since tires sat for a year on the lot they had flat spots. Two new tires and road force balance all 4 tires (dealer paid for this). Everything is ok now. 10k miles in van. Now for the RES and CW problems failure that others are having.

 

My low rumbling issue was a broken strut on passenger side. And now (second visit) a loose bearing in the strut mount on the driver's side. 15k miles! I think Bo and Luke Duke took my van off the truck their way.

 

I've had a low rumbling sound and slight vibration since I bought my 2019 EX last year; only shows up when driving between 70-120kph, and then only within a range +/- 10kph between those speeds - seems to show up sooner when roads are wet, lower on smooth dry pavement. Thought it was a tire with a flat spot or a wee bit out of balance so the dealership rotated and re-balanced them at 7000km. We hoped that it would run itself out over an 11000km road trip (most of it on I-5/I-90/I-94 where the pavement was loud and rough enough to have drowned it out) but noticed it the other day at 95kph; makes me think if it was a tire it would have worked itself out so it's likely coming from somewhere else. It's not that loud or rough but just enough to make me go hmmm.... Going to have the dealership look at it again when I take it in for a post-road trip servicing (I expect them to again say the tech couldn't find anything); wouldn't mind hearing what others think it might be...
