My lower control arm components are warn out on my ‘14 and I need to replace. I prefer OEM but the parts would be $1500!!!! I have read that no aftermarket are really great but I can not spend that money on on just control arms.

Get ones off rockauto with a lifetime warranty, the ac delco gold are the latest iteration I am on after moog and mevotech.

cheaper than oem and you get 2 part changes for the price of 1.

At this point in the game on my 14 year old van, I have come to accept that cheaper with warranty is better.

alternatively you could try a napa brand which are sometimes better quality.

Stranger observation here regarding Moog: their "Problem Solver" line includes more rugged, very durable parts ... but for the Odyssey, you have to buy the generic Moog control arm, remove the brand new regular ball joint, and purchase and install the new "Problem Solver" ball joint. Same for the bushings.

Just painful to gain the benefit of those more durable parts for our Hondas. Makes me wonder if the stock Honda LCA ball joint is removable and replaceable.

On the other hand, I had a local mech go over the front end of my almost-20-year-old F250 diesel truck ... Problem Solver parts were available for everything with none of the above nonsense required. Go figure.

I think @oldskewel mentioned that he pressed them out. However you would still need to use aftermarket ball joints because the Honda units can't be purchased separately.

Thanks, guys. On that note, the "Problem Solver" items from Moog are a big step up in durability from their generic parts. No idea why they don't just build the entire control arm with them already pressed in.

I believe 2014+ have aluminum lower arms. If I remember correctly, aluminum arms are not serviceable due to galling issues when pressing steel sleeved bushings. Aluminum parts expand a lot more than steel when heated which could issues if the the I.D. of the bushing hole gets changed by removal/install. I could be wrong/misremembering so do research.

Steel arms from the 11-13 Odyssey should be a direct swap.... AND offer better ground clearance.
