I did a lot of research on LCA's, many people dont like mevotech, while Moogs are OK most of the time. ACDelcos are pricey, I could not find many people using them.

I bought Beck & Arnley LCA's, overall they seem identical to OEM, except for ball joint boot, which seems a bit cheap. OEM boot looks and feels more rigid and thicker than B&A.

 

Main issue I have the moogs is that they're iron instead of the OEM aluminium. I've heard mixed reviews on the mevotechs but they we're leaning positive. The main difference from OEM is price. While OEM are about $320 a piece, mevotech is about $76, B&A are about $108 as are the moogs and AC Delco is about $150.

I wonder how many companies actually make the LCA's. In many cases, it's the same company, with a different box.

 

I am have a feeling that most of these are exactly that case with maybe different ball joints or bushings pressed in with Moog being the clear exception with theirs being an iron LCA

I've got a set of the Mevotech's in a box waiting for me to put on my 05. Typically I purchase Moog for all my vehicles due to them usually being grease-able but read that the Moog's for the 05 were sub-par. I might be installing a set on my friend's '10 tonight for the exact same reason. They are much cheaper than Honda and the '10 already has aluminium but have heard really positive reviews

My '05 had steel LCA's and I went with '08 Aluminum LCA's from Mevotech. I've not had any trouble from them. Recently went on a 2400 mile round trip up to Ma and back from Ga. She handled the pot holes well, the struts were the only casualty. Struts have since been replaced.
