DIRECT FROM HONDA....
Odyssey will arrive in September

For 2005:
Honda has delivered an all-new completely re-engineered and re-designed Odyssey minivan. The new design improves all areas of Odyssey’s current strengths while adding more emotional appeal and quality through improved styling, advanced technology, luxury amenities and driving performance and supporting our “Safety for Everyone” commitment.
Honda will introduce an all-new Touring model to its already strong line-up. This new model will meet the needs of buyers looking for upscale features that are typically found in luxury vehicles. Some features in the Touring models include, Premium Audio, Power Tailgate, Driver Memory Seat, Auto Dimming Mirrors, Tri-Zone Automatic Climate Control, Auto On/Off Headlights, and much, much more. Another feature requested by customers is the Sunroof, which is now standard on all EX with Leather and Touring Models.

Honda's marketing people obviously think the market is not ready for an Acura minivan. Or maybe current Acura owners are not ready for an Acura minivan. Either way it looks like they're making one with everything but the badge.

All the games...All the secrecy..I have lost interest....My 04 is the last Honda that will ever grace my driveway...As good as it is

Hey guys. Btw, thanks for the post rpiercy.

I really like the sound of some of those premium options. One concern I have is that I really dislike leather. I'd prefer to have cloth seats. Am I out of luck then? Will I still be able to get some options like sunroof, navigation, power tailgate, and premium audio without getting leather seats? Thanks.

"The first order allocation will take place on July 16th. Each dealer will receive at least one vehicle as coverage for the release date. We will post model information once Honda allows us to do so."

With my 13 year old son...That's a bargain!

I'm already there, it be more than a bargain if I can get rid of my 14 year old son.

No more "Dad, I need some money"
" Dad, I need you to drive me to Jimmy's house"
"Dad, my computer's messed up, can you fix it?"
"Dad, I'm hungry, can we go to Burger King?"

THE LIST GOES ON AND ON AND ON....

My younger son of 8 years is catching up too:

"Daddy, Justin punched me!"
"Daddy, Justin's is making faces at me."
"Daddy, Justin stole my drink."
"Daddy, can I go to Toys'r us?"

Daddy here, dad there, AH!!!!!!!!!

How about sticker with all our annoying offspring?

HAHHAHHAHAHA!

I am not there yet...3 and 11months are the ages of my 2.
You're WAY behind. I have boys (13, 7, 5) and my princess (2.5). Now you know why I have a Suburban and want to trade the Pilot for the Odyssey! Maybe I should ask my dealer if he'll take MSRP + ALL THREE boys. There's no way he gets my little girl, though!

Carguy,
You beat to making this offer, but I have one more boy than you. However, in this case, more isn't necessarily better...They may charge me over MSRP.

Believe me, even if they just take them for one day, I'll be happy.

Yeah, Yeah, they're damn cute from the moment we hear our earth-shattering screams from our wife followed by a crying baby to where they take their first steps. But they lose most of their charm by the time thy reach their teen years.

I might actually might regret it later. I want some grandchildren and at the same time, my sons can see what I went through.

Thanks for the info! So, if I order an Ody 7/16, I can get it by September? Is this what it means? Also, what exactly is a Touring model? Is it just more luxiorious than the other models? I've been wanting a EX-L/nav/dvd. If it has a sun roof, I guess the DVD will be right behind it, right? I am so ready to order. I'm even extending my lease (Ody '01) till I get this new van, and I can't wait.

Im wondering if it wont have Sto-n-go seating. Im sure Honda would have said somthing about it if it was .
ledebuhr1,
This is what I posted on the other thread. This is FAR from confirmation, but it shows that they were investigating the idea. The rotating platform apparently was like a lazy susan.

Last night, after my son's roller hockey game, a lady came up to me and asked how I liked my Honda. We began talking and she told me that her husband works for. After talking a while, I asked her if she had any information on the 05 and said that she had only seen what was on the internet.

However, she did say that her husband saw a prototype nearly a year ago. She mentioned that this vehicle had the fold into the floor middle row (didn't know if it was 8-passenger) and that the compartment in the floor had a rotating platform which allowed for items to be stored under the floor rather than just have the rectangular box like the DCX vans.

That was all the info she had (or would give me). She didn't know if this made it into the production version or not, so it is still complete speculation. However, it sounds like Honda was toying with the design at one point. I guess we'll know sometime soon.

What the Allocation on 7/16 means is that each Honda Dealer will receive one 2005 Odyssey to be on hand at dealers for the Official Public Introduction. Allocations are simply whats arriving on the truck that had been ordered by the dealer. If I were you I would get in to my dealer as soon as possible to find out about ordering if you want it by Sept.

Interestingly, no mention of VCM Engine Technology. Not that I am complaining. I am not too keen on being a guinea pig for a new technology.
