There have been several discussions around reading the Transmission Temp for the Odyssey via OBDII. However, I am looking to find someone who was able to get it to work on a 2015 Odyssey.
From other threads, I have seen people get the following PID to work, but I believe this is only for Odyssey's before 2014:

TXD:1DF1222201

RXF:032400000000
RXD:2808
MTH:00090005FFD8
NAM:ATF

Has anyone had success on retrieving Trans Temp on a 2015 Honda? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Ideal transmission fluid temperature is 180F. Temperature under normal driving conditions should not exceed 220F.

Of course, it may exceed 220F under heavy load for short periods of time. This is not good for the transmission, but it is unavoidable. Cooling the fluid sufficiently in heavy load conditions would mean overcooling it in normal driving conditions. Overcooling the fluid is also bad for the transmission.

It's a shame Honda hasn't gone to thermostat controlled cooling circuits like lots of other manufacturers have. Ford has done that for the past decade in most of their transmissions, that way you can have the best of both worlds. Maximum cooling for when needed, and the ability to get up to temperature in cold weather.

We have an external cooler on ours because we tow with it, and it struggles to get over 120 in the mild winter temps we've seen so far. Not good for moisture accumulation, but my F150 hits 190 even in single-digit temperatures.
