Odyssey width with mirrors?

How wide the Odyssey with the mirrors? Specs show 79.2 inches wide but that does not include the mirrors, right? Does anyone know how wide it is once you include the mirrors too? I am trying to figure out how much space I will have left over, if any, when parking it in a 1 car garage (8ft door).

Thanks, John

I cannot tell the exact width with the mirrors but my garage doors are also 8ft single car garage doors and Odyssey barely fits through the door. I would say if you perfectly center your car as you pulling into the garage you'll have barely one inch space in between pillar and the mirror at each side. Pulling in and out the Odyssey through 8ft door is a little bit of challenge and I have to very slowly approach and make sure the mirrors will pass without brushing the pillars. My wife refuses parking into the garage through :)

Thanks very much for this info. It sound doable, not easy but will just take my time. If the U.S. version only had the Power Folding Mirrors like in Canada......

Previous house has one door that was a 9 footer so that made it quite easy.
Thanks again, John

Sorry you froze but thank you! If it is just shy of 88 inches and my 8ft door opening is 96 inches it should fit inside easy, right? What year is your Odyssey?
Thanks, John

EDIT: Looks like you have a 2013 in your sig block.

Provided my 2015 is the same width as your 2013 I should be fine. Prior poster indicated that he had barely an inch on each side when backing in.

I couldn't be that much off. I might be a little bit visually off but not a parking impaired :)

So got my ass frozen too to take measurement in my freezing garage. I don't have a laxer measure but with a reliable tape measure and using the pole of a broom I measured ~91 inches. The 8ft door is 96 inches; however, the pillars has trim and vinyl flaps attached to the trim which allows 8ft garage door to completely covering the door opening with no gaps. So you should see that the door trims to be protrude ~1 3/4 inches from each side. So the actual door clearance drops from 96 inches to 92-93 inches. If my measurement of 2012 Odyssey EXL is nearly accurate, you would have 2-3 inches of clearance as you pulling in. At least it is was I got

This makes a lot of sense, I forgot about the flaps. I will know soon enough as I am bringing the new ride home tomorrow. I will report back!

OK, just brought home my 2015 Touring Elite. My garage is a side load so that complicates lining it up. On the first attempt I folded in the Drivers Mirror when I realized I was not going to make it. Then went out for a bit and when I can back I lined it up a bit better and backed in without folding a mirror. Since it was lined up perfectly I had just enough room to fit on both sides. As Prizm said above - it is a tight fit and not for the faint of heart,

Mine fits through a 16 foot garage door when another car is in the garage. It is tight, and I had to paint lines on the floor. Nailed the mirror a couple times til I did the lines. I have to put her on the passenger side for the length, cause on the left side of the garage there are steps, so the Fit goes on that side, cause its shorter.

Here you go. 2014 TE, glass is 8 1/4" wide. The complete housing is about 9 3/4" wide. The outer 1 3/4" is wide view.

Looks like a little more than an inch wider? I am taking my Odyssey out again today. I will see if I can repeat the magic of the second parking job and not fold in a mirror. I suspect with the TIGHT clearances I will default to folding one in each time.

After playing with it for a week, I am going to move the Odyssey from the 1 stall garage over to the 2 stall one and slide my wife's car over. It is just too challenging to part in the 8ft doorway given the width of the van. I was concerned about this being the issue and it is now realized. My new concern will be my wife pulling her car into the 1 stall space. It is certainly wide enough but.....:eek2:
