Rubber Weather Mats - FULL FLOOR Coverage?

It's getting cold up here, so it's time to get ready to winterize the ol' Ody before the snow hits.

That said, I'm hoping that someone can point me in the following direction:

Basically, I'm trying to emulate the Honda Element's no-carpet approach on the floor in my Odyssey.

Are there rubber (or PVC) mats that give FULL coverage for the floors? I've got the 3rd row seat always in the "up" position and am looking for one big mat (or a series of smaller ones) that will cover up the carpets in all walking areas.....between the front buckets, between the center buckets.....wherever there's carpet, I'd like a black (or grey) rubbery surface.

Can anyone help?

TIA

floor mats

I have seen full coverage custom cut mats for sale on E-Bay that look as if they should work. Haven't ordered any yet so can't say for sure if they are any good. They appear from time to time in the Auto Accesory section, search under Honda Odyssey and look around. Anyone out there try these yet? Gator

I used gray diamondplate rubber from e-mat.

I used the 4-foot wide stuff for the back, all the way up to about 9 inches behind the sliding door opening where the floor gets wider that 4 feet. When I have the third seat up I just roll the last 2 feet under the raised seat. Then used the f-foot wide again for the middle row, but ran it side to side (because the floor is much wider between the doors. You could order the 5-foot wide, but then you'lld be wasting a lot when trimming the narrower rear.

BTW, I recommend cutting the mat so that it covers the sliding doorsills. This way, instead of all the crap gathering in that area like a gutter, you can just wisk it out of the van with a sponge or...well...a wisk.

I went the extra step and made a (non-corrugated) cardboard template so I could cut the mat to fit wall-to-wall. I also removed all the plastic bezels on the floor for the seat mounts. When I hat the mat sitting just right, I felt for the mounts and cut holes for them. Small at first, then progressively bigger untill I was able to screw the bezel back on (on top of the mat) and the edge of the bezel would clamp the mat down. Once you do one, trace the shape and the others will be quicker. The mat soon took on the contours of the floor and has not moved.

This WILL make it a little harder to access the spare tire trap door. You now have to lift up the rubber mat and hold it rearward while you flip the trapdoor the other way.

I was also worried that the rubber floor would make the interior to echo-y, (acoustically bright). I'm surprised that it really didn't.

I've had the mat in for 1.5 years and I has made cleaning up spilled soda, dropped Mc Syrup, kid barf, salty black slush etc. a breeze. I was amazed when my girl dropped a full cup of Mc Sprite , I thought the rubber mat was gonna backfire and funnel the stuff to inaccessable areas. Instead is was all contained in a lake. Luckily the car was parked and somewhat level.
