When I get gas I want to leave the movie running for my kids. In my 2015 with the engine running if you hit the engine start/stop button with the gear selector not in Park, the vehicle would go to accessory mode and you could then shift it into Park with no interruption to the RES. On my 2018 Elite with electronic shifting this no longer works and I cannot find anything in the manual. Has anyone figured out a way to make this work?

I would have never known this was a previous feature! I’m so used to having cars with keyed ignitions, that to do what you are suggesting, you’d have to turn the car off then back on!
I wonder if there is a way for auto idle stop to work automagically with brake hold in this case...

So you have attempted to park the car shut off the engine do not open the door. your system will still be on, then without depressing the brake pedal push the start button again in accessory mode then Open Your Door
