Looking for some ideas and solutions. Both of my sliding doors will randomly have an issue where when we go to close the door (does not matter if it’s the driver door buttons, the sliding door buttons on the pillars, or the remote), when the door reaches the point of “sucking in”, the door beeps and reverses direction. Sometimes just retrying it, it will work correctly. Other times, it repeats until you push the door in. You can press super lightly and it’ll close as it should.
To date, I’ve done the following:
1. Reset the doors by turning off the switch at the driver seat, and then manually cycling the doors several times.
2. Cleaned all 3 rails and applied grease
3. Pulled all applicable fuses and relays associated with the door, door motor, and latches
4. Replaced the PCB for both motors per the TSB related to this issue
5. Checked both pinch sensors with a volt meter and found the resistance to be in spec
6. Checked the door harness at the bottom of the door for any obstructions.

My wife and I are at our wits end here. Has anyone else found a viable solution or had your dealer fix the issue??

It's only like $25 a day for access to Honda service data, might as well get it and go through the torubleshooting procedure. This generation is still new enough to where there's not a lot of info for a lot of things.

What year and model is your ODY? Do you have any warranty left or extended warranty?

I had my 2018 ODY Elite struggle and sometimes stop at the same closing point. I replaced the battery and the speed of the door closed faster.
Cleaning the sliding door rails and greasing them is important as well. I know you said you have done this, but how well did you? It take me around 25-30 minutes per door, and I do not try to over grease the rails. I use threaded rods Electrical Fish sticks to attach my cotton rags to and tape them on and wipe the rails down good, and move door to insure I clean all the rail. I change the cotton rag out and apply lithium grease to the rage to wipe the grease back on using the electrical fish tape. I have been doing this 2 and 3 times a year, 3rd time if the door seems to be running slow.

Another trick when you door fails, disconnect the negative battery lead from the post, than manually close the sliding door, than reconnect your negative battery lead to the battery post. This is a form of a reset. Pulling the fuses does not do a full reset.

I have same issue. Passanger side. 2018 EXL. I still have honda care and I went 3 times in last 4 years. Dealer says its working fine. I show them video but they cannot replicate same. The main issue is this is not happens all the time. But when it does, it will not close until i do.. #1 start driving car #2 while closing use hand and apply mild pressure on door handle. My warranty will expire soon. Should I reach out directly to Honda? Dealer here at DCH Paramus not able to provide me solution.

@pulseps
I had the same problem and the Honda Dealer did not believe me and said they could not replicate. I do not believe they even looked at the driver's side sliding door at all, just operated it and it worked. I was to stubborn and checked the sliding doors pinch sensor resistance which was easy enough to do. I checked the resistance of the sliding door and it was around 110 ohms. I replaced it and never had it give me any problems after that.
