That's what I'm wondering. They just feel kinda tighter. Basically, if anyone here has done it, would you do it again? Lol

 

what kind of pads and rotors are currently on it / going in it?

brake feel is diminished with ceramic pads.

 

I got this set from rockauto for 40.00 off so with tax and shipping like 220 all in. I'm open to some different calipers and master cylinder if worth it.

This is for 2010. The 4g brakes are a different animal. I'll have to research YouTube and see if I can find anything good

 

Those are flex lines going from the lines to the caliper. And looks like 2 per box meaning you'll need 4 for front and back. I've read SS works better than stock-like lines, no expansion of the flex line at all giving better response. If I upgraded rotors and calipers like the video shown above I'd definitely do SS flex lines just because.

I haven't done it on the van, but I have done it on a number of other vehicles. I much prefer the improved feel. It is more like you control the brakes by pressure instead of pedal position - it makes feeling what the brakes are doing easier, along with making modulating the brakes easier (your foot doesn't move as much).

It won't give you any more total brake performance, just better feel.

I replaced my Tacoma brake lines with hard lines to the caliper and moving the flex (SS mesh covered) further upstream, ala the Tundra.Made a LOT of difference. Again. 20 yr. old rubber though so it was bound to be pootched.

 

On motorcyles, SS lines ALWAYS were felt over rubber in that they did not expand when squeezing into them hard. It was obvious. On cars with 100K miles and yrs. of weatherization it's hard to tell but I can't imagine it not being better just as on bikes.

 

It's 110 plus tax so for 120 I'm definitely over thinking this lol. Plus I just like to talk about cars and people's experiences lol. I've literally saved thousands by learning to wrench these with ranger's videos
