I have done a search and some indicate double sided tape. Any thoughts on what double sided tape or what adhesive to use to attach this part? My driver sided windshield garnish is coming loose at the top and the male clip seems damaged and two of the female clips have run off.

Here is a link to the first page that comes up in a google search:

There are supposed to be retainers that are installed on the A pillar that those clips snap into. Looks like someone replaced the windshield but didn't put the retainers back. They are installed with double sided tape. Part number is 91570-SHJ-A01

Tape ??? Kiss that a pillar trim goodbye when you drive you will be buying that again when it Flys off on highway lmao . Window weld is the answer but make sure you clean before applying !!!!
Only if you're a hack. It looks like that's what the last guy tried, too, and look where it got him.

There are four of those clips and retainers, plus the bottom clip that's slightly different. The retainers are double sided taped to the side of the pillar (locations are supposedly marked in there) and then the clips, attached to the trim, snap into the retainers. It's not going anywhere if it's installed properly and cleaned before applying the retainers with the tape. Just by the photos I can tell it wasn't installed properly once already--the retainer clip is missing, at least on the top one shown in the photo. If you "window weld" it in then next time it needs to come out when the windshield gets broken you'll also need new trim--which will likely be no longer available. Do it right...do it once. Besides, holding it in place while the window weld dries will be a challenge. Yes, you can tape it but it won't sit tight and flush as it would with the proper retainers.

To each there own brother . Imo tape doesn't seem strong enough at the age and level of crap ,dirt and grim in channel or gap. but hey the engineers thought of that one also so it must be right lol. But hey at least he got a couple choices. Better than none .also if window breaks and get fixed by window companies and they break a pillar trim looks like they will be the ones having to source it and pay for it . You break it you buy it !

It's not "my own." What I posted is how it's supposed to be done and how it was done from the factory. Buy the right parts, do it right, and it will no longer be a problem. If you just smear glue in there you'll just have a mess. I don't know how many times I've had to clean that garbage out after someone filled with rtv, silicone, glue, etc. You name it, and someone's tried to use it.
