Thinking about switching to 100% maxlife on my 2017 TE with 50k miles.
I don’t think the Honda ATF is the best, the shuddering returns after 5k miles or so (after changing the ATF ) and I need to change the ATF again to get it smooth shifting and decrease the shuddering (yes i got the TSB update done) recently noticed excessive clunking from the trans as well.
But...I am kind of hesitant to use anything other than ATF-DW1 on these honda transmissions, cause Honda only recommends DW1 and some senior techs swear by it.
My 2010 has 170k, ran DW1 its whole life and that thing shifts like a dream.
Stick to DW1 or try maxlife?
No, I’m not going to use amsoil unless its the same price as DW1 lollll
