I'm going to try to explain this so read carefully. Their is a funny vibration somewhere DOWN in the FRONT of my 1st gen. It ONLY happen on long trips AND when I have my OEM 15" steel rims with OEM size tires.(I have a set of 16" accord rims on there the rest of the time) It kind of feels like I have a flat tire but not really. It also feels kind of like part of the exhuast is hitting the underside of the floor but not really. It kind of feels like a axle shaft is bent but that would mean it would be a constint vibration which its NOT. It DOES NOT happen all the time-its NOT constint. Sometimes it happens when I steer around a curve or switch lanes. It almost always happen when I accelerate from a stand still or if I'm already driving. AND it usually goes away after the van cools down a little but sometimes comes back after we get back to our trip. I don't know if this is suspension related or has something to do with the steel wheels. It DOES NOT happen at any certain speed. The transmision shifts fine even when this vibration is happening. The tires are a little dry-rotted but their are NO buldges on the sidewalls nor are their any broken belts in the tires. None of the weights have seem to come off the rims but usually if thats the case the vibration is constint and/or at certain speeds. I am LITERALLY STUMPED! Lets all come together and try to figure this out.
