I have an 06 EXL and the VSA light (triangle w/!) is stuck on. just had some work done, (VTEC sensor replaced) codes were erased now the VSA light won't go off even after restarting the van. no current codes show up. Idea's? thanks!

What kind of scan tool are you using? You can't see all these codes with a standard OBDII scan tool.

According to the service manual if the VSA /!\ light is on and NO OTHER LIGHTS are on that is a code 84 which is VSA Sensor Neutral Position. It needs to have the VSA Sensor Neutral Position memorization done. That procedure is done with the HDS (Honda Diagnostic System) or a high end bidirectional scan tool. I'm not sure if there's another way to do it but that's the procedure in the manual.

Here's another video that shows how to reset the ABS and then the VSA light. You've already reset your ABS so just try the VSA reset. One thing about the pin 9 to ground...pin 4 on the DLC is a ground so not sure why he's going to the trouble to connect pin 9 to that bolt. You can just do the jumper between 4 and 9 again for the VSA reset.

What do you mean, it didn't work? That's not much to go on. Did you check for the code by shorting pins 4 and 9 as shown in the first video? What code is stored?

It's either that or have it reset with a bidirectional scan tool. There are other videos out there that show the process. I doubt it's any different on the Ody's of the same year.

I have vsa light that comes on from time to time. No engine light. When the light comes on my odyssey hesitates(rpms dont move) in first gear and as i push the pedal more it suddenly surges. Also when this is happening I'll have no power going up steeper hills.

again. Only happens in first gear low rpms (consitantly) and when the vsa like is on. I'll go days without the problem sometimes.

any ideas? Thanks guys.
