Where is the receiver for the key fob?

I have a 2013 exl with navi. I am trying to figure out what the key fob transmits to. Everything I have read says it is in the master door lock switch, which is the window and lock unit on the driver side door. This is not the case, I took out my window lock unit and my key fobs functions all still worked. So the receiver is somewhere else any ideas?

I don't think the way the keyless starting works is exclusive to Honda. I know my daughter's Kia & Hyundai are exactly the same. If the fob has a dead battery (won't unlock the doors for instance) the instructions say to use the key to open the door and then hold the fob next to the start/stop button. I even think it says to use the fob to push the button.

No matter when, the immobilizer did and does require dealer programming. Only the keyless entry was user programmable. My comments above apply to the keyless starting your 2013 doesn't have.

Hopefully for that $100. You got another key programmed as well. You don't want an immobilizer equipped vehicle with only one key. Lose that an that $100. Is going seem cheap!
