Will Goo-gone work on permanent marker

We had a slight accident with a permanent black magic marker on a tan dashboard. Will goo-gone or WD40 work on this as well. It is in a very visible area and I'm afraid of discoloration.

All suggestions welcome:confused:

I don't know about Goo-Gone, but Goof-Off should work. The only thing I'd worry about is damage to the dash paint. You may want to first try it in a hidden spot first no matter what you use.

Rubbing alcohol also works for permanent marker removal, at least for the one I tried.
