I am looking into purchasing a used 2014 Odyssey EX-L with 53k miles. I test drove it, and noticed that on the highway, the driver side mirror vibrates. It looks like the wind is making it shake, and it appears to be because the mirror glass itself has a lot of play in it, though the automatic adjustment still works. When stopped, I noticed that if I push the glass with my finger, it has some play, but on the passenger side it is much more rigid.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? I did not notice signs of impact on the mirror. Does this require a full mirror replacement, or is there a way to take it apart and repair it? The mirror housing seems to be fine and mounted firmly.
