was that OTD minus a trade? Taxes and Virginia fees usually run about $3k. Congrats on the new Odyssey.
The Buyer's Order lists a "Dealer's Business License Tax" of $66.33, a "Sales and Use Tax" of $1,660.79, and a "Title Fee" of $75. The dealer had a "Processing Fee" of $999 and the "Price of Vehicle" was $39,020. That all was totaled to $41,821.12.

I know it's at the beginning of the month but I found a dealership with 29 EX-Ls in their inventory within 200 miles of my location. I'm looking for plain silver EX-L with gray interior and no options and wondering if it would still be fine to contact the dealership now or if I should just wait until later in the month. According to caredge it looks like this dealership has several EX-Ls that have been on their lot for 70 - 100+ days. I'm looking for something within $1000 of invoice (under $40300) before TTL and I would register the vehicle in Texas at around 6.25% sales tax. I'm looking to use the following message: Hello, I am comparing prices for a 2025 Honda Odyssey EX-L, interior color grey, preferably non premium exterior color, with no options, and no trade. I can finance or pay cash depending on whichever option provides the lowest OTD cost. I am military living in Omaha but would register the car in Texas. What is your lowest OTD price to include taxes, title, fees and minus the military discount and any potential financing incentives? Since you have a number of EX-Ls, what would your quote be for stock number XXXXXXX.

Trim: Elite
Color: Radiant red
Price before TTL: $45,100
OTD price: $48,000
City, State: Woodbridge, VA
Dealer(If possible): Hendrick Honda

Went in last day after negotiating the deal over the phone. Only wanted Red or white colors which are extra. Dealer had $1500 worth of accessories installed including all weather floor mats which is included in OTD price. Hope this helps others looking for a similar model.
Thank you so much for sharing! I'm about to head there. Would you mind sharing the name of person you worked with?

Trim: Sport-L
Color: Sonic Grey
Price before TTL: $41,620 (down from MSRP of $45,275)
OTD price: $46,803 (includes $149 wheel locks, $85 doc fee, $659 registration, and $4290 tax)
City, State: Santa Rosa, CA

The only dealer add-on was the wheel locks. Great experience with this dealer, especially compared to others closer to my home.

Anyone know where we can find invoice pricing on these? Dealership is claiming basically that it’s about $2500 below MSRP, so about $40,800 for an EX-L.

Trying to figure out if ~$41,600 before TTL is a good price or if I should pursue 2024s instead for bigger discounts.
Where would you even find 2024? The only 2024's I see are Used; all new inventory around my area is 2025 (I am in Bay Area, CA)

Surprisingly the dealership with 29 EX-Ls didn't have a competitive price at all. I messaged around 20 - 25 dealers over 2 days and received a quote of $40,488 before TTL with cargo mats, pulse braking assist, cargo nets, and first aid kit. This quote includes the $500 rebate for military financing but it was about 6 hours away. I took that quote to dealers in my local area and was able to get $40,000 before TTL (includes $500 rebate) from a dealer 20 minutes away. No dealer add ons.

I have called all of the Bay Area, CA Honda dealerships so far and have not received an offer lower than $49K + change for a Honda EX-L in silver color; anything lower than a pre-TTL offer of $44,000 has everyone questioning if I have gone mad, as they believe they would lose money on it. Have called Manly, Walnut Creek, Capitol, Salinas, Anderson... kinda mad! Wonder if it is the wrong time of the month to be calling these folks.

If you need something sooner you could potentially pay for an EX-L somewhere else in the country and then pay to have it shipped. It wouldn’t be cheap but definitely cheaper than what you are seeing. Koons in Virginia will give you a good quote (about $40k with the processing fee).

Thanks for the suggestion. If $40K is with the processing fee, what's the approx. pre-TTL price quoted for an EX-L? My math shows ~$37.2K

Sorry. The $40k was pre TTL. Also I double checked the quote they sent me and it was $39575 and then an additional $1099 doc fee. That was with no negotiation though. I ended up negotiating something a couple hundred cheaper and a few miles away from where I live so I didn’t end up pursuing the long distance options.

Seems like generally before Doc&TTL and add-ons, you can get $3,000 off MSRP on EX-L/Sport, $4,000 off Touring, and $5,000 off Elite without much negotiating. If you are willing to look around and push negotiations you can probably get another $500-1000 off.

On January 4th, I got an EX-L before Doc&TTL @ $40,220 with 2.9% for 48 months. This was after emailing 4 different dealerships and a little bit of negotiating over text. Most dealerships wanted $800 doc fee and had about a thousand in add ons. D-Patrick Honda in Evansville, IN only had $400 doc fee and zero add ons. So I went with them.

Trim: Elite
Color: Solar Silver with gray interior
MSRP: $52,630.00 no add ons
Price before TTL: $47,153.07
Goverment fees: $692.24
Doc fees: $85
Tax: $3,660.95 (CA)
OTD: $51,591.26

How does this deal look? I think it's fair with a good dealer discount. Not too sure what those government fees are though. All via email so far. Hoping it pans out with no surprises. Thanks

Trim: Touring
Color: Smoke Blue Pearl
Price before TTL: $43,360
OTD price: $45,781.65 w/$750 trade of 2009 Odyssey EX-L w/Nav & RES (274K miles), incl. $399?? floor mats for free
City, State: near Cincinnati, OH

I thought I wanted the Elite but the first inexperienced salesman did not show us the blue Elite two weeks ago that I wanted that they HAD in stock. I then saw online that the Elite "gray" interior really is gray and black two-tone and I personally didn't care for it. Yesterday, we went to our closest dealer. We saw the Smoke Blue Pearl Touring and also looked at an Elite. (My husband did like the two-tone interior on the Elite). I initially offered $45,000 OTD for the Touring & he said they could never do that with MSRP being $48,360. I then offered $46,000 OTD. I said I'd like $1000 for my trade-in. He came back with a higher OTD price and with a $750 trade-in offer. We agreed on an OTD price with trade-in of $45,781.65. They gave us the $399 floor mats. I kept thinking I should go the email route per this board, but my husband thought this was probably a good deal. Idk...LOL
