Someone posted this thread on Reddit that shows slight redesign of the rear bumper. Looks to be most unchanged for 2025.
I think Reddit poster is doing some Photoshop to get attention. The front tire looks substantially larger in diameter than the rear tire, though the rear of the van is closer to the camera. Even the front wheel well looks a lot larger. Optical illusion?
It looks like Solar Silver Metallic will be added as a new color option as well.Per Honda we now have parts catalog for 2025 model year. Some exterior style changes, same powertrain (J35 SOHC, 10 speed automatic). Overall a refresh, not a redesign.
Trims include SportL (leather) EXL Touring and Elite.
I am starting to see dealers list the 2025 Odyssey on their websites as well, saying they are "in production".
@WiiMaster - Me tooI keep seeing 2025's come up on dealerships inventory.
"In production" is the most common item listed but one on Fisher Honda lists 3.5L, so hopefully this is correct and its not a I4-Hybrid. Other dealerships list FWD, so I am assuming this is confirmation that they are not doing AWD like Toyota's hybrid rear end.
I did find it interesting that there was mention of an "Extended" trim designation on one dealerships site. Likely might be a typo, but that would be an interesting update to have an "extended" segment behind the 3rd row (think Tahoe vs Suburban and how cavernous the trunk is behind Suburban's 3rd row).
No, far from it.Is Odyssey the first to get two MMCs?
VTEC lives on!Per Honda we now have parts catalog for 2025 model year. Some exterior style changes, same powertrain (J35 SOHC, 10 speed automatic). Overall a refresh, not a redesign.

I assume 2026 gets the new DOHC engine from the pilot.Per Honda we now have parts catalog for 2025 model year. Some exterior style changes, same powertrain (J35 SOHC, 10 speed automatic). Overall a refresh, not a redesign.

No EX anymore? I guess not enough profit to do just one trim with cloth seats and charge less.Per Honda we now have parts catalog for 2025 model year. Some exterior style changes, same powertrain (J35 SOHC, 10 speed automatic). Overall a refresh, not a redesign.

Whoa bill. Can’t just come in and drop that without more deets. It might ... but I hope not. We've already had two DOHC V6 engines shred themselves ... cams, heads and seals all ruined, likely will need engines. All new cars under 5k miles.
I have a 23 Pilot (DOHC) and none of these issues w/over 33k miles.Whoa bill. Can’t just come in and drop that without more deets.
Probably because most people don't buy the EX...that's why they got rid of the LX too.No EX anymore? I guess not enough profit to do just one trim with cloth seats and charge less.
Can you please check out in the 2025 order guide interior trim pieces for the dash, the infotainment parts, the gauge cluster parts, and the presence of anything like 360 camera mirrors, heads up display, etc? We’d be very interested to confirm some of the details that M_J shared and try to answer some of the questions he hasn’t been able to yet.I don't have more details at the moment. Y'all are right it's not a large sample as there have been many of those new Pilots sold here and I only know of two with engine issues. Not trying to fear monger at all, I'm just leery of this new platform and how Ford-like this engine seems.
Only on the VCM-1, VCM-2, and VCM-4 models. VCM-3 models like the current J35Y engine do have regular VTEC in addition to VCM.With VCM there is no VTEC, just I(maginary)-Vtec!![]()
No one said it was widespread. But on a new engine, when some of them start grenading, it raises eyebrows.I have a 23 Pilot (DOHC) and none of these issues w/over 33k miles.
A sample size of two is nothing. There's manufacturing defects out there, sure, but they are most oftentimes the exception rather than the rule.
