Android Auto suddenly stopped working

Anyone else having trouble with their Android Auto not working?

I plug it in, the phone charges, but the AA button is greyed out on the home screen of the head unit, when it should be full color and available. I click it, and I get an error that I haven't connected a compatible device.

This just started happening this week. I have a sneaking suspicion a recent Google app update broke it, but I'm not sure. I will try it out tonight.

I already tried with a couple of different cables, but still no luck.

I'll post to the Android Auto support site if a few other people say they are having similar issues.

I will try tonight to see if it works for me. Wife usually drives the van and I haven't driven it since Saturday. It was fine on Saturday. I did get an update this morning for both Android Auto and Google Map app. So maybe that will fix the issue? What phone do you use? I use a Pixel 3 and noticed it is buggy sometimes and usually it's fixed if I unplug and plug the phone again. Just convinced my wife to switch to a Pixel 3 also from an iPhone 7. No more switching cables back and forth for us.

Thanks for these hints! I was having trouble in my Insight, but not my Odyssey and turns out, my phone was disabled somehow shortly after setting it up. Change cords, and did all sorts of things, but didn't think to see that there was a disable phone option in the settings of the Honda.

I'm having the same problem on my 2018 Honda Odyssey EX-L. I have a Samsung 9+ and it worked fine until a couple weeks ago. But recently Android Auto went grey and keeps telling me it's disabled. I've enabled but it still won't work. I also deleted and reinstalled the app but nothing has changed and I'm getting the same error message. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks
