I have 144,378 on my 2008 ody EX-L. I think the key to good mileage out of your tires is rotating them every 10,000 miles. I rotate mine at every oil change which is almost every 3 weeks. I've been using Pennzoil platinum 5W-20 and fram tough gard filters. Incidently the picture you see is of our old 2006 ody that got totaled in sept. 2008. I've been too busy at work and with the kids to bother going out and taking a new photo of the ody. By the time I take a picture it will probably be of our 2011 Ody, which I plan on buying in November. By that time this Ody should be past 200,000 miles.

 

We are at around 32k and the tires are getting pretty bad at the edges, while the tread in the middle is still excellent. I'm pretty good about checking tire pressures and rotating....I wonder if I should be running a higher tire pressure.

 

My Mich lasted about 24K and they were shot......I hated them from the beginning.


Replaced with Falken ZIEX-ZE-512....think I got about 11K out of those, probably the worst wearing tire ever

 

Terrible original tires

With 12,000 miles one sidewall had a small cut and was loosing air. To replace the tire with a new one was $165. No way for that same tire which was 60% worn @ 12K! Bought a set of Hankooks for less than $400-rated highly by CR and have a wear rate of 100K miles.

 

2006 Ody EX-L

The OEM Michelins were completely worn out around 50K.

Replaced with Kumho Solus KR21

 

I got around 75k on my OEM Michelins. I replaced with Falken Ziex 912 (not 512). The Falken's are fine so far.

 

Got about 50,000 miles on the Michelin Symmetry's. Believe it or not, we may only get about 45,000 miles on the Yokohama YK520's that replaced them. Then again, we drove much fewer freeway miles on the Yokohamas, and drove a little "harder". By that, I mean we babied the Michelin OEM tires...they were not "confidence inspring" in terms of grip, feel and noise.

People on this forum turned me on to the Michelin MXV4 Primacy. Great tire.
