155k on our '06 that we bought new. Kind of feels nicely broken in, at this point. We're jumping in it and going on a long road-trip tomorrow. Wouldn't hesitate driving it across the country.

Having the fluids (oil, steering, transmission) changed today. We've been real consistent with maintenance. We'd also purchased a (now expired) 8-year/120,000 extended warranty. We used it. Had a few odd things go wrong that were covered by that warranty. Had engine mounts fail a couple of times. Had the lumbar support in the drivers seat break, which I thought odd since we're not huge people.

Can't recall the other here-and-there things that have happened over the past 10 years, but I have no reason to believe this van will reach it's end of life anytime soon. Bought it when our first-born was 1. He's now 11, has two younger sisters and the youngest is. 2. We're committed to getting another 5-10 years of life out of this car. When we eventually get rid of it, my plan is to have squeezed all the value and goodness it had to offer and we'll get rid of it when the only buyer is a scrap yard interested in the parts.

Keeping a car so long is not typical for my family. We tend to get bored easily and look for a change after a few years. But this van is such a perfect family car, it has aged very well. We're not bored and the car doesn't feel dated. I think the key for us is that we bought a Touring and it was so loaded at the time that it still feels as if it has all the features we need. The power lift back alone may be why we still have it, as I'm pretty sure my wife would have wanted to replace the car by now without that option!

just bought an 05 with 260,545 k.having problems with the vcm code with rear bank rocker arms.pulled vtec valve and cleaned the whole valve.still setting the code.pulled oil pan pick up screen clean, little sludge in bottom of pan.adjusted the valves .where to go from here dont know.

We have 125,000 on our 05,we got it used from our local Honda dealer, bought our second kid home from the hospital in it and still loving it,,,,i call it "The Wagon"
Replaced the timing belt water pump and plugs 8k ago have regular maintenance done keep it clean and would have no hesitation to drive it to Hilton Head and back tomorrow.
Apart from the manual door mechanism needing replaced car has been pretty flawless,as the base model there is less tech to go wrong will be replacing a broken coil spring so will probably replace all the suspension soon and do the brakes while were in there.
200k here we come :)

I was t-boned on the highway today and it might be the end for my odyssey. I got 659,000 good miles out of it. I'm probably looking at a 2015 odyssey this weekend. So I'm probably moving to the next generation forum. good luck everyone.

Took an 1800 mile road trip (one way) from El Paso to metro Detroit last month and from there, we took several side trips (Mackinac Island, NYC, Atlantic City). In July alone, we drove about 5k miles, which is a lot for us considering that we typically only use the Ody on the weekends. Anyway, it's a 2007 Touring with about 110k.

Sorry to hear that. I'd be curious to hear what the Ins Co offers you. When the 160K '04 LX pictured in my signature was totaled by a tree in July 2014, I was told by a co-worker (a former Ins Co adjuster) not to accept their first offer. She told me to ask the adjuster to escalate the estimate and try again. After the physical inspection was complete, they offered me $3300. I asked them to try again and I got a call less than 24 hours later with an offer of $5200. That's about a 60% increase in the initial offer. I suggest you try the same thing.

Let us know how it works out.

Thanks everyone for their concern. I am fine and the other driver is fine as well. My insurance company totaled it. They will call me tomorrow with their figure. It won't be much with the high mileage. Already looking at a 2015 ex-l/res for around 32k. They had already shelled out 8k to fix the front after I carelessly ran into my buddy at work. He got a new car out of it and I got mine fixed. I think I am in no position to bargain with them about anything. I just hope they don't drop me.

We have 106,000 and going on our 08 EX-L RES. No major issues with the van. Had the power steering pump replaced under warranty and torque converter replaced under warranty as well. Just replaced the rear shocks and put Cooper CS5 tires on. This van rides and gets better with age. The only thing that bugs me the most about the van is how sensitive it is to tire imbalance and the leather is beginning to peel. The leather is really garbage in my opinion.
